The First Valentine's day

It was Valentine's day in the afternoon, and all girls was exciting making chocolates, chocolate cakes or cookies. Everyone, including Rinoa herself. That day, Balamb Garden was making a Valentine's day dance party during the nig ht where everyone can give their Valentine's present to their lover. Everyone was happy except Squall. He was very upset because he couldn't get Rinoa's Valentine present immediately.

"Cheer up Squall!" said Selphie. She had been trying to cheer the poor unhappy Squall for more than 2 hours in the garden and it seemed that it didn't help at all. He was as dark as a black rainy cloud.

"Hey, all the girls are busy finding presents for their special ones, maybe she's finding one too", said Selphie again. Squall just stayed silence with an unhappy expression. Selphie could only shake her shoulder and then walked out the garden. She was going to go to the Balamb Garden's kitchen when suddenly there are an explosion at the Balamb Garden kitchen. Everyone was running towards the kitchen.

Squall was a bit unhappy with the explosion. " Not again!". That was the 10th explosion that day. Yesterday it almost made a fire by Selphie and her other friends that was making the Valentine Chocolate. As the chief of the Balamb Garden, it was really making Squall a bit annoyed.

Running towards the Balamb Garden's Kitchen, he was stopped by Selphie. " It's OK Squall! It's just a little explosion" said Selphie. " The girls are not usually making their own food, you know...."

"But..." said Squall.

" Come on!!! Lets go somewhere else. Like going to the garden!" said Selphie as she pulled Squall away from the Balamb Kitchen.

After Selphie has pulled Squall far enough from the Balamb Garden's kitchen, a girl's head popped out from t he kitchen door. She was very dirty, and her dress and face was full of black chocolate and flour. "fiuuuuhhhh.... lucky I asked Selphie to help me taking care of Squall Chan from getting near here", said the girl. Then she vanished, going inside the kitc hen cooking again.

After arriving in his room, Squall lay down on his bed. Selphie had left him there because she had something to do again in the Balamb Garden's kitchen. "Funny, she can never usually cook. That what I knew about her" thought Squall. Then he thought about other things. He was upset because he couldn't meet Rinoa all day and the worst was that he couldn't get the Valentine present today. The other thing was that Squall couldn't find Rinoa anywhere. That's the worst of the worst today. Think ing about the unhappy things that happened that day, Squall falls asleep. He woke up suddenly and realized that he had sleep too long.

"Damn I fall to sleep for too long!" cried Squall.

It was 8:30 PM when he saw the clock at his desk. " Damn, I'm really late, the party started 3 hours ago". He quickly changed his cloths to a uniform, though he didn't have a tuxedo, because he always said he hated them.

He took a look at the clock after changing his clothes before he left the room. "a quarter past nine?! That's worse, I'll arrive at about 9 o'clock in the ball room!" though Squall running out from his room heading towards the ball room.

As he arrived at the ball room, He saw Rinoa was dancing with another guy. She was dancing the Tango with the boy while the dance songs was suppose to be for waltz. Squall was a bit disappointed after seeing this and then went to the balcony, day-dreaming.

Meanwhile Irvine Kineas was collecting his Valentine present from the girls. He then saw Quistis that was walking towards him.

"Quistis DARLING!!" cried Irvine running towards her.

BOOM!

Before Irvine could touch Quistis, something had landed on his face (actually it's suppose to be "hitting" his face).

"OUCH!" cried Irvine trying to move the "thing" from his face.

Before he could reach it, Quistis had taken that box away from his face. Quistis quickly go away from Irvine.

"Did I say something wrong?" said Irvine scrubbing his face and then as quickly as possible he ran towards Quistis, making a romantic poem for her.

It 's seems that Quistis had thrown a box with cute ribbon on into Irvine's face. It was supposed to be a Valentine's present from Quistis to Irvine, but Irvine had done something that made Quistis loose her temper. Quistis took the present away from Irvine 's face before Irvine could see what it was. But it seems that Irvine already knows that Quistis was going to give him a Valentine chocolate present.

In another hand, Selphie was presenting her Valentine present to Zell. Zell opened it. It was a valentine chocolate made by Selphie herself yesterday before Valentine's day with her friends.

"May I eat this chocolate?" asked Zell to Selphie.

"Sure! Why not?" said Selphie with her usual cheering voice.

Zell then took the chocolate from the box, broke the cho colate in to 2 parts, then started to eat it. After eating the first bite of the chocolate, his tongue felt something, and that "something" wasn't a good thing. The chocolate tasted like something, and that really made the chocolate taste TERRIBLE.

"Selphie" called Zell. "What DID you PUT in this chocolate?"

Selphie smile with her sweetest smile and said, " I put some doping and put one small bottle of wealth drinks in it"

"I see... " said Zell.

"Is it tasty?" asked Selphie.

Zell answer with a smile (not a good one, I think), "YES!!! YES!! IT'S really DELICIOUS." But in his heart," yuckh..!! It taste like medicine and worse than usual medicine. I almost think Selphie put some poison in it."

Back to our lone wolf. He was in the balcony, wondering about his poor day, and didn't notice that Mama Sensei was behind him.

"Squall... what's the matter?" asked Edea with a soft voice. Squall didn't react although it was his Mama Sensei. He acted like he didn't hear anything.

"Are you being dumped by Rinoa?", continued Edea. That last question make Squall feel that his head was being hit by a jumbo size GunBlade. Then he turned around to look at Edea.

"Mama Sensei, what are you doing here?" asked Squall.

"Just looking at one of my children", answered Edea.

"Now, about that Rinoa" continued Edea.

"Squall, don't be so sad like the earth is going to fall down on you. I know Rinoa is very important to you"

Edea stopped for a while and looked at the poor Squall and then continued talking.

"Today is Valentine's day, and she probably has prepared a box of chocolate for your present like the other girls. You must be happy. Don't be sad just because you see her dancing with another guy it means that she likes others. She's probably making a surprise for you"

Then Edea smiled softly to Squall. Squall just stayed quiet thinking about what Edea said to him. Yes, she probably made something special for me thought Squall. Then Edea notice that Cid had just come.

"Hello sweetheart!" said Cid.

"OO.... my Honey Bunny Sweet heart!!!" said Edea, running towards Cid and then walked away from the balcony where Squall, who was about feeling happy again got annoyed with their actions and felt very unhappy again.

He then turned around, and looked at the open air. He didn't notice that Rinoa was walking towards him until she called him.

"Squall!" called Rinoa from behind him. Squall acted that there was nobody there although he knew it was Rinoa who calling him.

"Squall?!" called Rinoa again. There was no reaction from Squall.

"Squall"

That was the third time Rinoa had called Squall's name and Squall was still reacting like he didn't hear anything. Then Rinoa thought a while and came up with a good idea.

"Squall CHAN!" called Rinoa with a usual smile.

Hearing that call, Squall fell down to the floor and then slowly he get up with a little shiver in his body.

"Don't.... Call... Me... SQUALL CHAN!" he said.

"But it's cuter!" said Rinoa with a beautiful smile. Squall could just get some sweatdrop on his head. CUTE... he thought.

"Squall, HERE! This is a special present from me to you" said Rinoa while she gave Squall a small box, not too small either, with a red cute little ribbon at the box. The box was also wrapped in pink wrapping paper with red hearts on it.

Squall was stunned for a moment. Surprised, amazed, and happy all together.

"A present for me?" he asked, pointing to him self.

"Uhm... A Special Valentine present for you!" said Rinoa as she nodded her head.

Squall couldn't say anything. He was VERY happy until he heard a strange voice from t he balcony door. The sound was so smooth that it was hard to hear. Then Squall turned back to find out what was the sound was and he found Irvine was making a video with a video-cam of him getting a present from Rinoa.

"Irvine Kinneas!!!" Squall walked towards Irvine and held him by his shirt. " What are you doing?!" said Squall while he was sacking Irvine back and forward making the video-cam released from Irvine's hand.

"AAA.......!!!! My Video-Cam!!!!" shouted a voice. It was Selphie. She was hiding behind the balcony door and now she was trying to catch her video-cam. She was a success in catching her video-cam, but Irvine doesn't have any success at all.

"What are you doing here with your video, Selphie?!" asked Squall. He was angry but could still control himself.

"A...Squall... I'm getting a video of you getting a Valentine present from Rinoa. It's a very nice moment you know" told Selphie.

"A nice MOMENT??"

"Uhm..." nodded Selphie for saying yes. "And do you know that Rinoa has worked so hard to make a Valentine present for you?"

"Yeah, If you don't, you must see her hand that was supposed to be smooth with no bandage on her finger" said Irvine from the back of Selphie. Squall looked at Irvine with a mean eye. He never liked Irvine going to close at Rinoa. While Rinoa, herself, was just standing behind Squall smiling with her angel smile.

After making all problems clear, Selphie and Irvine left Rinoa and Squall alone. Squall open the present and he found that there was a one big chocolate. The choco late has been made like a heart with letters in it that says "For my beloved Squall" and below that word, there was a small picture of a GunBlade.

"May I eat it?" asked Squall.

"Yes" said Rinoa.

Squall then ate the chocolate. First bite... second bite... Wait a minute! thought Squall. There is something in the chocolate, something hard. Then he broke the chocolate in to 2 part and he found something.

"Rinoa, do you feel like you lost something?" asked Squall to Rinoa, who was waiting for his opinion about her chocolate.

"hmmm....?? No... why?" asked Rinoa.

Squall then handed something to Rinoa, it was her necklaces (the usual necklaces with Rinoa's and Squall's rings). The necklaces accidentally fell into the chocolate while Rinoa was making the valentine chocolate for Squall.

"A!... MY NECKLES!!" cried Rinoa, she then realized that she had lost her necklaces. After receiving her necklaces back, she quickly put it on again, while in another side the, lone wolf, Squall was feeling desperate to Rinoa and had gone to another side of the balcony playing his hands making an endless circle. He was ABSOLUTELY feeling been dumped by Rinoa.

Rinoa herself, after finishing putting on her necklaces began to try to cheer up Squall. Well... Rinoa and Squall's whole Valentine's night, was being used up to cheer up the desperate Squall.
